Fabric and Batting Donation from Elly!!

We just received a very generous donation of fabric and batting (12 bags and 2 boxes full) from a local quilter named Elly.  She is pursuing her new hobby, photography, and needed to clean out her closet.  Thank you Elly for thinking of Annapolis Quilts for kids!!!

Next kit making workshop and quilt delivery!

We had a great class on Saturday!  There were two of us and a very teachable and mature 11 year old who wants to make quilts for those in need.  Amazing!!  I remembered to bring my camera but did I take pictures  . . . NO!!  Hopefully next time!

Our next kit making workshop is Tues, Feb 28th from 10am to 1pm at BACC room 223.  Please bring your cutting tools if you would like to make kits. If you want to sew you are welcome to do so as well.

We are going to make a quilt delivery to Anne Arundel Medical Clinic's Pediatric unit immediately following the Feb. 28th workshop.  Anyone is welcome to join us but we probably won't be seeing any children only dropping off quilts.  I'm hoping to at least take a peak at the Pediatric floor.  I hear it is colorfully decorated and kid friendly.

Quilts from Virginia!

We received 8 quilts this week from Tracy and friends in Virginia! Yay!  Our first quilts for the year 2012!
Our next workshop is scheduled for February 13th at the Severna Park Library from 10am to 1pm.  Please bring your sewing machine.  Let me know if you need a kit and I will bring one with me.
Also, we are having a FREE class for those who want to make quilts but don't know how to sew . . . YET!  The class will be held at Bay Area Community Church in room 223 on Saturday, February 18th from 10am to 1pm.  Please bring your sewing machine and supplies (your sewing machine manual is a must if you don't know how to thread your machine).  Quilt kits will be provided.
