Jena's Fabric Drive!
Jena, had a fabric drive for her Bat Mitzvah project to collect fabric for Quilts for Kids! What a sweetheart!! She delivered over 160 yards of 100% cotton fabric as well as some batting! Jena's admiration for Audrey Hepburn, inspired her to seek out a project that helped kids in need. The project brought together Jena’s desire to help kids and her interest in sewing and fashion design. Jena’s Bat Mitzvah was on June 3rd, 2017 at Temple Isaiah in Fulton, MD.
We were able to meet Jena and her mom on Saturday and hopefully they will be joining us at our August workshop. You are such a blessing to us Jena!!! We wouldn't be able to make quilts, quilted tote bags and pillowcases without the generosity of people like you!!

April Homeschooler's Workshop
Our first Friday of the month workshop for homeschoolers was a lot of fun and productive! The girls know each other from homeschool co-ops so there are always giggles, helping each other and yet they are serious about learning to quilt for others in need.

November Workshop and Last Delivery of the Year!
November workshop was a mix of finishing up quilts and starting a few new ones. Thank you Eileen, Katie, Tamie, Benay and Rebecca for coming out and helping us get ready for our big delivery!
Final Delivery of the Year!!!
Tamie, Benay, Debbie and I delivered 70 quilts and 11 pillowcases to Walk the Walk Foundation's Walk of Christmas today. We drove up to their warehouse in Glen Burnie and got a tour and explanation of how they operate from David Mitchell, Walk the Walk's founder. It was encouraging to hear and see all the things people donate to make this ministry possible including the warehouse they use to prepare the gifts to deliver to the kids. One of the unique things they do is give each family a disposable camera to take pictures on Christmas morning. Walk the Walk then develops the pictures and sends them to the people who sponsor the kids. We saw lots of bikes, toys and battery operated kids cars. They also include books and Bibles with the gifts. Thank you to everyone who helped bring quilts to kids this Christmas!!
