We had a great day at our Saturday workshop. Zoe, our newest member, finished her quilt top and learned how to make a quilted tote bag! Deborah, our youngest member, completed a quilt top in three hours! Eileen finished a preemie quilt, Tamie cut three much needed kits (they were going as fast as she was making them), and Rebecca dropped off five quilts she had quilted and took five more to be quilted. I love productive mornings!!! So thankful for our great worker bees!

A few of us delivered 32 quilts to the Stanton Center's We Care and Friends in downtown Annapolis. The Center helps people find the proper resources for housing, work, clothing and food. They also mentor youth, help people with drug addiction and provide support for individuals and families in need. We got to hand deliver the quilts to Larry, who runs We Care and Friends! We are hoping the quilts will brighten a child's day as he/she receives it! Thank you to all the quilters who put so much time and effort into making these beautiful quilts!!! Great job!!!

February 2015 Workshop
Next Workshop is Saturday, February 21st at BACC from 10:30 to 1:30 pm in room 235. I will be demonstrating how to machine quilt and bind a quilt top. I will have a few blocks to practice on or you can bring something you are working on to finish. It is most helpful, but not necessary, if your machine has a walking foot or a darning foot and the feed dogs can drop. (I will talk more about this on Saturday). We will also have kits available to work on, if you would like to do that instead.
Please bring your sewing machine, sewing supplies and a lunch (optional). I'll bring some fruit and bagels. Hope to see you there!!
