Jena's Fabric Drive!

Jena, had a fabric drive for her Bat Mitzvah project to collect fabric for Quilts for Kids! What a sweetheart!! She delivered over 160 yards of 100% cotton fabric as well as some batting! Jena's admiration for Audrey Hepburn, inspired her to seek out a project that helped kids in need. The project brought together Jena’s desire to help kids and her interest in sewing and fashion design. Jena’s Bat Mitzvah was on June 3rd, 2017 at Temple Isaiah in Fulton, MD.
We were able to meet Jena and her mom on Saturday and hopefully they will be joining us at our August workshop. You are such a blessing to us Jena!!! We wouldn't be able to make quilts, quilted tote bags and pillowcases without the generosity of people like you!!

May Workshop

We had two great workshops this past week. We had a cutting workshop with Ellen M. and Cyndi on Wednesday. We used our donated Go Accuquilt fabric cutter and made 6 1/2" squares and 2 1/2" strips out of our smaller than 1/2 yard pieces. Thank you ladies!!!
On Saturday, Eileen, Sally, Diane and I worked on various projects (Diane and Eileen are not pictured here but we are so thankful for them!!!). Some finishing quilt tops, some working on foundation piecing and Rebecca dropped off several quilts. It was so good seeing everyone!!
