Teen Boy Quilts from the Annapolis Quilt Guild!!!

The Annapolis Quilt Guild donated 16 teen boy quilts to Annapolis Quilts for Kids!!  The theme of the quilts are nature, hunting, fishing, space, bikers, dinosaurs, sailboats, cowboy and more!  Sixteen boys are going to be thrilled to receive these quilts!  Thank you Annapolis Quilt Guild!!!

Delivery to the Ronald McDonald House in DC!

Annapolis Quilts for Kids delivered 28 quilts to the Ronald McDonald House in Washington DC on Monday, June 11th!!
When Carla, Tamie, Nanci (welcome back Nanci) and I arrived at the House we took a few pictures (see below) and then went into the beautiful, brand new building.  (It looks a lot like the Annapolis Lighthouse homeless prevention center).  We found out that the House is completely full with residents but none of the children were there because, unfortunately, they were all in the hospital. The receptionist was gracious enough to give us a tour and she told us the quilts would not only be going to the children at this facility but also to another Ronald McDonald house that caters to NICU babies and their families.

Making a Four Patch Quilt

"Make It and Love It" has a post about Quilts for Kids and gives instructions on how to make a four-patch quilt. Ashley shows you what is provided in your kit (we have pre-cut everything for you) and how to put the quilt together.  Click on more links in the article and see how to machine quilt and bind (I had to take a class to learn how to do this so these instructions are great for those of you who are struggling in this area!!)

Also, read the comments below the post and you'll find thank you letters from those whose children have received the quilts!
