Happy New Year!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year!

In 2013 we made and delivered 110 quilts, 61 quilted tote bags, 30 preemie quilts, and 6 pillowcases to AAMC, the Lighthouse Homeless Prevention Center, Walk the Walk Foundation, Oklahoma tornado victims, Chrysalis House, Arden House, and Northern Virginia Nursing Students Association.

Thank you all so much for all your generosity this past year donating your time, talents and fabric to help children in need!
45 quilted tote bags mailed to Virginia for the Children's National Medical Center in DC!
We cleaned out our quilt supply in December and need to start stocking up for a delivery! I will be calling around to different organizations to see where the biggest need is soon.

We are going "Back to the Basics" this month. For those of you who haven't been to a workshop in a while and are rusty or if you need some instruction, I will be demonstrating the basics of how to take one of our kits and sew a quilt top together.

Feel free to come, sew, chat and just enjoy the day making a special gift for a child in need! Please bring your sewing machine, supplies and a lunch if you desire. I will bring fruit and bagels.

Where: Bay Area Community Church, room 223 (or the blue room, I will have a sign posted telling what room number)
When: Saturday, January 18th from 10:30 am - 1:30 pm
Hope to see you there!
